Criteria for Evaluation for Arts Proposals

  1. MERIT OF PROJECT

 

    1. Does this project meet goals and objectives of the Huntsville Arts Commission as established?
    2. Is there indication of excellence in the arts project?

 

  1. DEMONSTRATED NEED
    1. Does this project provide access to the arts by special populations which might not have easy access to the art?
    2. Does this project seek to present programming not otherwise abundant in the City and surrounding area?

 

  1. CAPABILITY OF APPLICANT
    1. Does the applicant demonstrate the potential to complete the project satisfactorily?
    2. Does the applicant show financial support from any source other than the requested support from the city of Huntsville Arts Commission?
    3. Has the applicant successfully completed other quality arts projects?

 

  1. TOURISM COMPONENT (for projects funded with Hotel/Motel Tax Funds)

 

    1. Does this project promote tourism and the convention and hotel industry?
    2. Does the project have the potential to attract tourists to visit Huntsville and likely stay overnight?
    3. Is there evidence of publicity sent to area cities?
