Get fit while you sit with Sittercise! Start 2018 off with a new exercise program being offered from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning January 9th at the Huntsville Public Library in conjunction with Huntsville Memorial Hospital. Sittercise is designed to help those who are aging and/or dealing with chronic and other illnesses. It focuses on strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, endurance, and overall improved function. Please consult your doctor before starting any new exercise program. Liability waivers are required to participate and are available from the instructor. The class is free and open to adults ages 18 and older. Bring your ancestry “puzzle pieces” to the Huntsville Public Library’s free genealogy workshop, “Working Your Genealogy Puzzle,” and let us help you put it together from 3 pm to 5 pm Thursdays beginning. Johnnie Jo Dickenson will guide participants researching their family history using investigative tools such as online databases, resources, and the library’s extensive genealogy collection. Description:If your family tree is missing some branches, then sign up for "Exploring Ancestry.com", a workshop devoted to teaching the basics of this online family history resource. The workshop will be held from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of each month from January 11 through April 12. Discover family tree members using Ancestry.com tools such as vital records, census, military, and immigration records. The site is free to library patrons when used at the library.
