    Do you have children ages 2 or under? If so, then Mother Goose Lapsit is a story time designed for you! Enjoy a half hour of developmentally appropriate activities featuring stories, songs, and rhymes every Monday at 10:30 a.m. This program introduces little ones to the story time experience and is perfect for developing language and vocabulary.   3. Play Texas 42

    Get in on the fun! Play Texas 42 at the Huntsville Public Library. Texas 42 is a dominoes game similar in style to bridge and spades. It is held from 1 to 3 p.m. Mondays at the Library. Studies show playing dominoes can be beneficial for the mind as attention to detail and strategy are essential to play. So, come to the Library each week and strategize your winning moves. We’ll supply the dominoes and refreshments. Games will be played weekly if 4 or more players register. This program is for adults 18 years and older.   4. Pilates for Everyone

    Pilates student teachers from the SHSU Department of Dance will teach a weekly class from 5:45 PM to 6:30 PM starting Monday, February 19 through April 30th in the Community Room at the Huntsville Public Library. The Library is partnering with the SHSU Center for Community Engagement for this program. Pilates classes build strength, flexibility, and lean muscle tone with an emphasis on lengthening the body and aligning the spine. Benefits include production of long, lean, strong overall muscle tone that doesn't create bulk, overall slimming, greatly improved flexibility and increased mobility, even in just a short space of time. Please bring your own towel or mat. Consult your doctor before starting any new exercise program. Liability waivers are required to participate and are available from the instructor.
