Want to get more comfortable with computers or update your skills? If your answer is yes, then register for our free Basic Computer Classes held at the Huntsville Public Library. Classes will be on Tuesdays in March from 10 – 11 a.m. These classes will feature using the mouse, typing, emailing, and Internet browsing. Class size is limited and registration is required. A library card is needed to participate in the classes. If you don’t have a card, bring your ID! Get fit while you sit with Sittercise! Start 2018 off with a new exercise program being offered from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning January 9th at the Huntsville Public Library in conjunction with Huntsville Memorial Hospital. Sittercise is designed to help those who are aging and/or dealing with chronic and other illnesses. It focuses on strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, endurance, and overall improved function. Please consult your doctor before starting any new exercise program. Liability waivers are required to participate and are available from the instructor. The class is free and open to adults ages 18 and older. Tired of losing unsaved work? Do you want to access your documents on any computer? Come explore how Google Drive’s free, web-based word processor can help. Register for the Google Docs classes hosted by the Huntsville Public Library. Classes will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays in March. This class will teach how to upload, create, edit, and share documents using Google Docs. Class size is limited and registration is required. It is preferred for individuals signing up to have a Google Gmail account setup prior to class and be familiar with using the Internet, keyboard and mouse.
