enthusiast, participate in the Huntsville Public Library’s 8th Annual Friends of the Huntsville Public Library Art Contest this spring. This contest is open for students aged 5-18, and the deadline to submit is Friday, February 23, 2018. Winners will be formally announced at the Artwork Unveiling Ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2018. Come to the library to pick up your entry form and contest rules today! The Huntsville Public Library will host English as a Second Language (ESL) Orientations from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 3 and from noon to 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 8. Students are required to attend either of the orientations to enroll. The classes will be taught by Lone Star College staff and will begin in April at Mance Park Middle School. Bring your ancestry “puzzle pieces” to the Huntsville Public Library’s free genealogy workshop, “Working Your Genealogy Puzzle,” and let us help you put it together from 3 pm to 5 pm Thursdays beginning. Johnnie Jo Dickenson will guide participants researching their family history using investigative tools such as online databases, resources, and the library’s extensive genealogy collection.
