The Huntsville Public Library is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a family-friendly carnival from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017. The carnival will feature a photo booth, sand art, popcorn, cake, face painting, balloon art, a magician, and more! Make plans to come celebrate with us!
Guests will also have the opportunity to visit with HPL staff to learn more about current programming. We asked members of the staff to share their thoughts about the 50th Anniversary!
"We want to welcome the community to come celebrate with us on Saturday. We are pleased to have been part of the community for the past 50 years and are excited about the many years ahead of us," said Brenda Poe, Huntsville Public Library Cataloger.
"We thank the citizens of Huntsville and surrounding areas for being such a tremendous community that supports our library and has helped to make it what it is today," said Anne Sparks, Assistant City Librarian. "Our growth throughout the years, which has included both programming and acquisitions of materials, will continue to reflect our community's interests and needs. The Huntsville Public Library is is very adept at evolving so we welcome the future and all the challenges it brings."
