Falling limbs and trees have taken down some power lines locally. Additional outages are being reported this afternoon on the east side of Huntsville. Entergy supplies most electrical power in the city limits and is notified and working to restore power. To report new outages, call 1-800-ENTERGY.

Use extreme caution around downed lines and always assume the lines are live. Do not touch the line with your hand or another object, or any object in contact with the line, such as a car, and do not drive over downed lines. If you are in a vehicle in contact with a downed power line, stay in the car as the ground around you may be energized. Call 911, honk your horn, and roll down your window to call for help. Warn others to stay away and wait for first responders or Entergy employees to tell you it's safe to exit the vehicle.
