The City of Huntsville Solid Waste Transfer Station and Recycling Drop-off Center will closed in observance of the New Year’s holiday on Friday, January 1. Due to the closure for the New Year’s holiday, the following schedule will be followed:
RESIDENTIALFriday, January 1:-Residential Curbside Recycling Collection will be picked up following Friday, January 8-Extra recycling on side of blue cart will be picked up
COMMERCIALFriday, January 1:-Commercial Garbage Collection customers with a scheduled Friday dumpster/roll off/compactor pickup will be serviced on Thursday, December 31
The Solid Waste Transfer Station and Recycling Drop-Off Center will be open on Saturday, January 2 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
The Street Department will pick up Christmas trees (not artificial) at the street’s edge from Monday, January 4 through Friday, January 8, only. The trees must be on the curb no later than Monday, January 4.
The Solid Waste Department will pick up Christmas trees (not artificial) at the street’s edge on Wednesday, January 6 and Wednesday January 20, only.
City residents may also take their Christmas trees (not artificial) to the Solid Waste Transfer Station during regular business hours, free of charge with their current City of Huntsville residential utility bill. Christmas trees (not artificial) must be unloaded at the brush pile, only.
